No there is no limit- the assumption is that you would have called them when you found a job and continued to pay

Hi,

this has always been a grey issue… ordinarily large bills are not covered by crisis loans- however if you get a reasonable decision maker, and can convince them that heating oil is akin to money for an electric/gas meter, then you should have a good chance of getting it paid.

Hi Iam on JSA and Iam doing a steps to work course along with a placement so that I work or study 30 hours a week ive just moved into an appartment and my oil heating ran out its my only form of heating or hot water as ive no water heater am I entitled to a crysis loan?

I wondered if anyone can answer the following for me please? I took out a Crisis loan in December 2009.
I have just received a letter telling me they are going to start taking the repayments. This is over two years ago!
Is there a time limit as to when they can start taking money off me? Two years seems a long time to wait.

U can get a payment for GAS and electric and food I tend to claim £20 for gas £20 Elec and £60 food when JC messes up, that tides me over, as for rent in advance I think u can get help if you get a letter from Landlord or council
